Field Attendant (3 positions) with the Research Group of Tuberculosis and Leprosy under the Centre for Communicable Diseases (Advertisement #358/13)

icddr,b invites applications from suitable candidates for the position of Field Attendant (3 positions) with the Research Group of Tuberculosis and Leprosy under the Centre for Communicable Diseases. The appointment will be made on a Contractual Service Agreement (CSA) basis for 6 months, which may be renewable depending on satisfactory performance and availability of funds.

Duty Station – Dhaka (1 position), Rajshahi (1 position) and Sylhet (1 position)

Salary – Tk.10,010/-(consolidated) per month inclusive of house rent and conveyance allowances. No other benefit is admissible.

Job Profile

• Motivate the subjects for enrolment into study;
• Fill up brief questionnaire;
• Collection of clinical specimen from the study participants and transportation from the study sites to tuberculosis lab maintaining the cold chain;
• Jointly work with study physicians and study nurse in the study subject recruitment process.

Requirements

• HSC passed or equivalent;
• Minimum 1 year practical experience in relevant field;
• Adequate knowledge and understanding of the job of an Attendant;
• Ability to understand basic rules to work in an office;
• Must have sense of biosafety & dutifulness and be punctual;
• Ability to work in field conditions and extensive field visit;
• Ability to work closely with most at risk population groups for Tuberculosis;
• Ability to understand and follow the instructions both in written and verbal English and Bangla.
